Welcome to my Web site!

My name is Rebecca Eagland. I am a breeder of top quality Abyssinians, under the prefix ABYCHAT. Producing the following Championship Colours: Usual, Sorrel, Blue, Fawn, Chocolate and Lilac Abyssinians.

I live with my father Alan Eagland, near the historic city of York. Alan was one of the first breeders to bring Norwegian Forest Cats into the UK; he now breeds Abyssinians under the prefix NORSECHAT.

Our kittens are renowned for their excellent type temperament and ticking. Kittens sometimes available for sale to suitable permanent homes. Please enquire.

*Abychat is a registered prefix/cattery name with GCCF, Fife and Tica.

Some of our queens may be retiring this Autumn/Winter and maybe looking for permanent pet homes. If you are interested in rehoming a retired spayed female please enquire.

In the Autumn we will be looking for a pet home for Lilly (Abychat Lillythepink) Lilly is a 2 year old lilac abyssinian who is oh so affectionate - so we feel she would benefit from having her own special person or family where she can be the centre of attention. (Reserved but we may have some other cats looking for homes in the next few months)

Abychat Turkishdelight has 4 stunning babies (dad is Magnificat). Colours to be confirmed (sorrel girl, lilac girl, fawn? girl, fawn? boy) - all 3 girls are being assessed for breeding (viewings pending)

Chita is pregnant - usual and blue kittens expected early Nov (hopefully we may also get sorrel fawn chocolate and lilac if she carries sorrel).

Possible matings for 2011

Riverfern Bump N Grind x Ch Abychat Queserasera (hopefully Spring 2011) Zarah will retire after this litter and may be available to the right pet home.

GC Abychat Boltoutoftheblue x Abychat Maya Gold (hopefully Summer 2011)

GC Abychat Boltoutoftheblue x DGC Abychat Kissmekate (hopefully Winter 2010) I was going to retire Kate but her litter with Bluey were so stunning last time I have decided to repeat the mating. Kate will retire after this litter and may be available to the right pet home.
